Welcome to the Hancock County Library System!!

The Hancock County Library System is committed to excellence in public service. Our mission is to bring you the most up-to-date information at the right time in the right form.

Since Hurricane Katrina devastated Hancock County on August 29, 2005, we have continued to aggressively support the community as we rebuild. We provide fax services, copy services, public computers, wireless Internet services and continue to meet the changing needs of the community.

Our branches are conveniently located to meet your needs. Our 24/7 catalog, branch to branch courier service and Express Request book delivery means the items you need will be ordered, packed and ready for pick up as soon as they become available at your nearest branch.

The Hancock County Library System also offers free toddler storytimes, Summer Reading Programs and one-on-one research assistance in person, by phone or by email. Community organizations can use one of our two free meeting rooms.

The library staff is committed to providing excellent customer service to the citizens of Hancock County. Because the libraries are such an important factor to the quality of life here and the long-term recovery of Hancock County, the staff has been moving 'full-speed ahead' to bring back the award-winning library facilities and services to the people of Hancock County.
